  Hi, we spent hours and hours modifying a WordPress site that expired. Is there any way of retrieving this?

  That domain was neither registered nor hosted here.

  It may have been using the self-hosted WordPress software from https://wordpress.org

  To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities: https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/

  WordPress.org has complete documentation for self-hosted/installed versions of WordPress.org at https://wordpress.org/support/ and support at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/

  But, as that is just software you download and install elsewhere, there isn’t anything they’ll be able to do for you if the hosting has expired.

  The domain appears to have been registered with GoDaddy in the past, so I recommend starting there: https://www.godaddy.com/help
