Export
-
I am trying to migrate my site ukdisneymagic.wordpress.com to a new host. The Export option under Tools is not available on my account. I understand this should be available on all plans including free. Could you please enable the export function so I can export my content? The URL wordpress.com/export is showing an error.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

https://ukdisneymagic.wordpress.com/export isn’t a valid URL as it refers to a non-excisting page on your site.
Did you already read https://wordpress.com/support/export/?

Hi Jenny 👋
The Export tool is indeed available on all WordPress.com plans, including free. The reason it’s not showing up for you is that your account is not set as an Administrator on ukdisneymagic.wordpress.com, and the Export feature is only accessible to users with the Administrator role.
To get access to the Export tool, you have two options:
- Ask the site’s administrator to export the content for you. They can go to Tools → Export, download the XML file, and share it with you. Here’s the full walkthrough they can follow: Export your website’s content.
- Ask the site’s administrator to change your role to Administrator. They can do this from Users → All Users by editing your account and changing the role. Once you’re an Administrator, you’ll have full access to the Export tool yourself.
Once you have the export file, our guide on moving your site covers what to expect with the XML file and how to import it on the other end.
Let me know if you have any questions!
