Export and import of WordPress site

  I successfully created an xml export file from my ‘self hosted’ WordPress site, and it apparently successfully imported into my empty wordpress hosted site, but I see no content there. I have tried this three times, and although it says it has completed successfully, each time, no content appears. Ideas?

  Hi there,

  What is the URL of the site you imported to?

  From what you describe it sounds like your export file might be empty. Did you use the All Content option when creating the export, or did you only export specific types/date ranges of content?
