Export option – clarification please!

  When you choose to backup your WordPress blog by using ‘export’, thus creating an XML file which you download, if you then have to upload that content to another WordPress blog, does that content display exactly as it did before? i.e. with all the formatted text, images, video etc in all the posts, in all the right places?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  As far as I know, only if you have the same theme as before.
