EXPORT/IMPORT

  Hi,
  I would like to copy my “echotango.wordpress.com” onto “volets10.wordpress.com”. First idea is to export/import which would also serve as a backup of “echotango.wordpress.com”. Only, during the operation WordPress finds that there are too many things (1000 or so articles) and does not terminate the process.
  Two questions please:
  1) How do I backup my blog if I cannot rebuild it in case a problem arises ?
  2) I can do a name change from the Global Dashboard but I want to keep both of course. Is this safe ? Will it terminate normally?

  If you want I transfer all your blog content from one blog to another. Please reply to confirm.

  To change a blog URL ending in wordpress.com, please follow these steps. Another alternative is to purchase a custom domain name to take “wordpress” out of the domain altogether.
