export/import to new site: invalid file type, missing content

  I’m trying to export from my old site to a new one using the import/export function. When I try to upload with the wordpress option on my import screen it tells me the file type isn’t valid. When I try the Medium option it takes several minutes but tells me import is successful, but then I can’t find anything that was supposedly imported. I don’t see it on live site or in my drafts.

  Hi there,

  It looks like you’re trying to import the .zip file. You need to open the .zip file and extract the .xml files inside it and import those.
