External visit count
-
I have a Swedish blog, http://www.emelieohrstig.com, hosted by WordPress.com, where I have attached an external Visit counter at the sidebar. However, it doesn’t count when visitors enter via for example a post, or via search engines linked to my posts. This counters doesn’t register these visits. Probably due to that the sidebar is not included on those pages. Is it a way to make the external counter register all visits?
Best Regards, EmelieThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi Emelie,
Usually, external counters have to be included on the page where you want visits to be counted. If your counter is in the sidebar, it won’t count visits to posts or pages where the sidebar doesn’t appear. One way to change that is to include the counter in the body of your post or page, or in a widget in your blog’s footer.
I hope this helps! If you have any concerns about how your external counter works, you’ll need to get in touch with the site that made the counter.
