  i would like to take a photo out of a set of photos and email it to a friend.

  Hi there,

  You’ve posted in the support forums for websites hosted on WordPress.com. If you mean an image that appears in a gallery on your site, the easiest way is to find that photo in your media library, copy the image link, and send that.

  You can also enable sharing buttons on your media files and make sure your sharing buttons include the email button, then use that to share the image via email.
