Facebook Security Check – Link in Post Might be Unsafe
-
In the last week or two, I noticed that when I tried to post an article from my blog (truthnotes.wordpress.com, aka truthnotes.net) to Facebook, I am presented with a “Security Check” dialog box, which contains the following information:
—
A Link in Your Post Might Be Unsafe
It looks like your post contains a link that might be unsafe:
truthnotes.files.wordpress.com
Please remove this link from your post or enter the security code below if you’re sure you want to include it.
—Below this text is a CAPTCHA challenge, which I am forced to fill out in order to successfully share the URL to my blog.
I have submitted multiple inquiries to Facebook, but true to form, have not received any sort of response yet.
Additionally, I have removed hyperlinks from some of my posts that point to the “truthnotes.files.wordpress.com” domain (e.g. links around inserted media files), cleared browser cache and cookies, and have even run the URL through the Facebook Open Graph Debugger (https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/) — all to no avail. I still get the warning.
I realize this is most likely an issue with Facebook, but I’m hopeful that I can get some definition on this assumption. If there’s anything that can be done on my part, please let me know. I appreciate your time. Thank you!

Hi there,
I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble with Facebook’s security check. The best way to address this problem is to contact Facebook using the link below that Captcha challenge, the one that says this:
If you think you’re seeing this by mistake, please let us know.
Unfortunately, Facebook sometimes marks sites as unsafe in error, and they are the only ones who can fix that. You may also want to ask some of your friends to contact them, too — they can get to the same screen by trying to share a link to your blog, and then they can contact Facebook the same way. Hopefully if Facebook receives multiple reports about their error, they will fix that up for you. Good luck!
