failed log in by ip

  i am receiving numerous e-mails (12+) regarding failed in in by ip. is there something i can do, or should do, about this?

  I don’t have a site linked to this WordPress.com account

  Hey there @doranne2013, could you clarify where those are coming from? If you can share the “from” address that would be most helpful. Also, if this is regarding a site of yours, can you send a link to that?

  Also, these forums are for the sites hosted and managed here at WordPress.com, vs. sites using WordPress code with another host. If you’re not sure about your site, send a link, and we can point you in the right direction. Basically we take care of hosting, security, support, and maintenance for the sites we host.

  If it is definitely hosted somewhere else, I’d try to figure out what plugin or hosting tool those emails are coming from, and contact their support. If you can’t find that, you can try searching and posting in the forums for the free WordPress software: https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
