failed WordPress login attempt from ip…..

  Hi,

  I get this message via my e-mail like 20 times a day(different emails). I think it comes from an installed app named ‘ limit login attempts’. I allready changed my password to be safe, but the emails keep coming. I don’t know if it’s spam or what I have to do with the warnings. Anybody has experience with this?

  Got it — that site isn’t actually hosted here with our services, so we can’t quite tell which of a similar set of plugins you’re using.

  I’d recommend checking the plugin’s configuration to see if you can reduce the number of emails that are sent. Or, check in with your mail provider to see if you can filter those messages to go to a folder you can check once in a while as needed.

  In any case, those emails mean someone did get blocked, and unless you or another site member is having trouble logging in, the block is a good thing. I hope this helps!
