    Background:

    In March 2013, I reviewed this E-Mail:

To: (email visible only to moderators and staff)
    From: help@wordpress.com
    Subject: [WordPress.com] Domain bnpeacock.org will be auto-renewed
bnpeacock.org is about to be automatically renewed on April 14, 2013.
You will be charged US$26 for this renewal in 30 days, on April 14, 2013.
You don’t have to do anything — this is just a reminder.

    Question:

Why was Domain Name NOT automatically renewed, as promised, and all content removed?

    Hi there,

We tried to renew your domain bnpeacock.org, but the credit card on file for this domain upgrade was declined. After the renewal didn’t go through we tried to contact you again to let you know — I apologize if these notification emails didn’t get to you.

It may still be possible for us to recover your domain — I have contacted you via email to discuss the private details for domain recovery. Please let me know by replying to this support thread if you don’t receive that email.

After the domain expired, your WordPress.com blog reverted to using its free WordPress.com address. You can access your blog here: http://bnpeacock.wordpress.com/

If your domain was set up to point to a self-hosted site with another website hosting provider, your content should still be available through that hosting provider. Please let me know if you have any questions about that.
