Fatal Error Notifications/Checks

    In regards to the new fatal error notifications for plugin updates, is there any data regarding false positive rates? I recently updated a plugin on a client site and it initially came back as a fatal error, which notified the client. I inspected the site and nothing seemed wrong or broken. To be safe, I reverted the site and attempted to update the plugin again, and all was fine. I just want to know moving forward how I should react to these notifications.
