  I’m not having a problem; I just have a quick question. If someone’s blog is chosen to be a featured blog is it simply obvious to figure out because of the random increase of traffic on the blog or is s/he actually notified by WordPress?

  We do notify you, but chances are you’ll see the large spike in traffic first.
