Featured Content Display Issues

Add topic to favorites
I’m using the Dara theme. I added the three featured content on my static home page which worked fine, but there are two additional blog posts beneath the featured content that I cannot remove. I do not want these here. Can someone explain why they’re there and how to remove?

Every theme has a detailed theme description page like this one is at https://wordpress.com/themes/dara/ That’s where set up instructions for it are found.

I don’t see the two posts under your slider today, so it looks like you’ve sorted this out.

I just installed Olsen theme. I’m still customizing it.
I’ve added the slideshow on my home page. However, not able to link the images to their respective posts.

Hi bitesnplaces – the standalone slideshow you added to your site isn’t “linkable.” Olsen comes with its own slider, though! To set it up, please follow the steps in the “Featured Content Slider” section here:

I’m using the AltoFocus theme. The issue I’m having at the moment is adding a photo to my About page. I added the featured content image, but when I view the page, nothing shows. What am I doing wrong?

Hi. I think you’re talking about a featured image, which is different from “featured content.” Also, the issues referred to in the OP specifically pertain to the Dara theme, not AltoFocus. With the AltoFocus theme applied, featured images do not display on static pages.

Denise – the featured image doesn’t display on pages. You’ll need to insert the image into the main post editor instead of uploading it as a featured image.
