Featured image and blog image double posted in blog, disable comments

  okay 2 things. on a few blog posts for some baffling reason i do everything the same to upload an image, choose it as the feature image (to get a thumbnail preview to show on my main page for each post) but when i click on it it’s double posted in the post, once huge up top and then regular below. this is incredibly annoying and i’ve tried changing the photo upload with no success. sometimes it works, sometimes it double posts. it looks sloppy.

  second, the little video about disabling comments was sadly no help. i want to totally hide and disable any kind of comment box from my posts, yet when i go to settings and discussions to disable comments from new posts, etc there STILL is a comment box under my posts. i’ve tried clicking edit to a post and see nothing like what i’m told under the help menu about disabling comments.i’ve just invested a lot of time into this by now
