featured image not showing

Hello! I’m having a little issue with my featured images. In my posts, I’m able to set a featured image, however, when I visit my site and I click on a category from the menu and go to that category I expect to see thumbnails of those featured images for each post listed in the category. But I don’t, instead it just has the names of the posts. I have a food blog so being able to see pictures of the food is important. Even when I’m in my dashboard and I go to all posts and click screen options there’s not box for featured images for me to check. I’ve tried deactivating plug ins because I’ve read that that has solved the issue for other people with the same problem but it didn’t work for me. Am I missing something? I feel like I’m going crazy trying to figure this out!
The site I need help with is thetowntarte.com. It is not hosted by WordPress.com, but it is connected with Jetpack.

I’d like to help but the site thetowntarte.com appears to be a self-hosted WordPress (also called “.org”) site hosted on BlueHost Web Hosting, and not a site hosted on our WordPress.com service.
