featured image size requirement

The featured image I choose will not display as a header. I think it must not meet the size requirements but I can’t find what they are. The link within the support article on featured images does not work.
Please clarify what the minimum dimensions are.

Twenty-eleven doesn’t use featured images. You just mean a header.
When you say it does not work, what happens? How are you attempting to use it and what happens when you try? At what stage in the process?

It uses featured images to have a custom header on each post. So on my first few posts each one has a different header which comes from the featured image. But my latest post will not show the featured image as a header, it still shows the default header even tho I’ve got a featured image assigned in the same way as previous posts.

What is the URL of the uploaded image? Maybe there’s something wonky with it. Do you have any difficulty using it as a regular image in a post?
