Featured image thumbnails has weird icon over it

  I just setup my site, http://www.isleofdroid.com, for featured images and the featured image thumbnail has a weird icon over it. If you need a picture, I can email you a screenshot.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there,

  The icon that appears over the featured image is part of the Untitled theme design. Each post format you use on your blog displays a different icon. You can see how this looks on the demo site here: Untitled demo site

  Thanks so much for replying! But I have one more question. Is there a way I can remove that icon or if not, what themes are there that do not display such an icon over the thumbnail?

  Those icons can be removed with custom CSS, which is part of the Custom Design upgrade. (That upgrade lets you make all kinds of customizations to your theme’s design, including custom colors and fonts if you want.) If you go that route, you can find the CSS you need to remove the icons in this forum thread.

  If you don’t want to go for custom design, there are quite a few themes that don’t use an icon like that — it just depends on what kind of theme you’re looking for! A few that I like are Expound, Hero, Triton Lite. You can also browse and search for other themes in our Theme Showcase. :)

  Thanks a bunch awesome Happiness Engineer! You really live up to that title. The themes you shared with me are quite nice but really, nothing beats the Untitled theme. Maybe after i’ve saved up a bit, i’ll splurge on the Custom Design upgrade!

  Oh yeah, do you think there is anything I can do to improve my site? Any things you think is lacking from it?

  I know what you mean about the Untitled theme. It’s hard to give up a really nice theme once you’ve settled on it. :) If you do splurge on custom design, there’s a lot of fun stuff you can do with it.
