featured images for categories set within pages

    Am working in twenty ten. My menu has pages within which categories are grouped. The pages have featured images. When viewers move from the menu page to the category page, the header changes back to that for the site. Can the category pages ‘within’ these menu pages be set to display the featured image for this section?

    On WordPress.com, my guess would be a qualified no. Category pages are dynamically created when the link to it is clicked, therefore, they aren’t like static Pages or Posts whose attributes can be preset.

    And as I said, a qualified no, because if one has the CSS upgrade or is self-hosting with the WordPress.org software, then it might be possible.
