'Featured' posts function disabled?

Hi,
I just signed up for wordpress. The theme I chose, originally came with featured posts that shows like a gallery at the top of the page (the header section). Some how, I am not sure what I have clicked, now although I have posted 2 featured posts, only 1 is showing.
How can I get back the gallery function? I would like 2-3 posts to be showing as featured posts where by the photos are automatically changing from 1 to another.

Yes, yesterday after fiddling around more, some how the featured posts started to show again :D Praise the Lord!
But, now my other headache is trying to get my Instagram account to show. When I connect my account in my admin page, it brings me then to a blank page, and nothing happens. I tried several times, and waited each time up to 10 minutes or more, nothing happens, and the account can’t be connected.
It states this at the bottom of my page:
INSTAGRAM
In order to use this Instagram widget, you must configure it first.
Could you kindly check and advice please? Thank you so much!

Sure. Sometimes the instagram widget can be a bit finicky, but there is a trick you can try:
1) Click Add a Widget to add the Instagram widget.
2) Click Save & Publish to activate the widget first.
3) THEN click Authorize Instagram Access.

I deleted the widget, then tried again as what you suggested – twice. Sadly, whenever I click authorize, the entire screen goes blank / white. Just, nothing happens?
Then, when I view my website, it still shows that I need to “configure” it. Maybe could you try having a look from your end what you see?
If it’s still not there, any other suggestions?

@cosycookhouse I won’t be able to authorize it unless I log in as you.
You can try authorizing in the older interface though if you’d like.

Firstly, sorry if I confused you. I didn’t mean to ask you to authorize it. I know you have to be logged in. I meant, to see from the web from your end what you see – to check if we’re seeing the same thing.
Anyhow, I tried your suggestion of the older interface. Thank you! It allowed me to authorize the account. My latest IG post shows now, but on the side of it, a message states “In order to use this Instagram widget, you must configure it first.”
And when I click on the IG photo, page goes blank (doesn’t hang at least), but nothing shows up…suggestions?
On a separate note, I’m trying to map my WordPress blog as a subdomain to my website. I read this link, and it states that the cost per subdomain is $13 per year per blog.

Ah, right now you have two instagram widgets – one authorized and one not. Go ahead and remove one of them and you should be okay.
About the domain mapping pricing, you will need a plan first. Each plan comes with one domain or mapped domain. Additional domain mappings are $13 each.
The personal plan might be a good fit for you:
