Featured tag keeps disappearing

My posts randomly drop the #featured tag. It mostly happens after I edit an existing post that was previously featured, but it doesn’t happen every time I edit a featured post. It’s not an issue with multiple tabs, and I usually use the new editor rather than Admin. I’ve looked through threads from people experiencing this bug since last fall, but I couldn’t find any answers or fixes – just ‘we’re working on it.’ It is a serious problem when the most timely content that I carefully created is not being displayed where my customers can find it. I hope a fix is coming. Thanks.

Hi there,
As you’ve seen this is a known issue and being worked on. The reason it’s taking so long is because this is a complicated bug, and fixing it without breaking a bunch of other stuff in the process takes time.
