I’ve just put up a new posting on my blog and found two things infuriating: one I’ve struggled with for ages, the other is new.
The old issue is timing the blog to publish at a set time in the future. I’m not sure I’ve ever managed to get this to work properly. One of two things happens: it either just doesn’t publish at that time – it’s like I’ve set the alarm time, but not actually activated the alarm – or it publishes instantly, rather than at the desired time. This is frustrating because I believe my blog gets more traction if it goes up at lunchtime, so publishing at 9am or midnight really doesn’t help me.
The other issue is that, having prematurely published the blog, I find a mistake in the title. Basically, when typing the title appears all-caps, however when it’s published it appears in whatever case you happened to be typing in. And of course you don’t pay attention to which case you’re using if you think it’s all going to come up as capitals. So to the near 800 people who get sent my blog, a message was sent entitled ‘MAking MUSIC’. Which looks really unprofessional. Of course, I’ve fixed it now, but I can’t take back those emails.
Could these features be fixed in some way?
