Feedback Needed: Change Account

    Hi- How can I change the administration account for my website if I don’t have access to my administration any longer? My administration account was hacked and I my current access is only as a contributor. I would like to either clone the site or change the administration access and email immediately.

    Correct account: Yes

    The only sites I see on your @tgusaproperties WordPress.com account when I check on our end are listed here:

    – themedgetaways.wordpress.com

    I see you are able to log in to your WordPress.com account, so you should be able to access the site you see here: https://wordpress.com/sites

    Is the issue with a different site that you do not see listed there?

    Is it possible you created your site under a different login that we are not able to see?  What is the URL of the site you are needing help with?

    Happy to check in our system so we can take a closer look.

    I would like to remove the current admin email linked to this account and I don’t have access to the admin email anymore. How can I change the admin email if I don’t have access to it?

    You are trying to change the email address listed here? https://wordpress.com/me/account/

    Please note that an email was also sent to your new email address (E.g. the email address you are trying to switch to) and that email contains a link that you need to click in order to approve this change.

    If you cannot find it in your inbox, please check your spam folder. If you need to search your email, you can look for subject “[WordPress.com] New Email Address” and it will be sent from our (email visible only to moderators and staff) email address. You may also need to add (email visible only to moderators and staff) to your spam whitelist, depending on how aggressive your spam filter is.
