    Hi there,

Your followers and site stats don’t move automatically from WordPress.com to WordPress.org, but I’m happy to take care of that for you! I just transferred all of your followers and stats, as you requested.

Your email followers will continue to receive email updates, and your WordPress.com followers will continue to see your new posts in the Reader. If your WordPress.com followers would like to receive email updates, as well, they can subscribe via email on your new blog.

The “Blogs I Follow” section is a WordPress.com feature, so that won’t transfer over to your WordPress.org site. Is that the blog roll you mentioned, or are you thinking of a different feature?

Finally, you mentioned that your media library didn’t transfer. When you do a WordPress.com export, it only exports your posts, pages, comments, categories, and tags; uploads and images in your media library may need to be manually transferred to the new blog. You can learn more about that here: Export

If you would like more help with your new WordPress.org site, you can get support and information from the WordPress.org support site at these links:

I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any questions. :)

Prior to the transfer I had 1440 followers. When I go to my page, it only shows 44? Can you tell me why that is? I have been holding off posting, as I want to make sure it goes to everyone.
    Thank you!

    Hi there,

The follower count you saw on your WordPress.com blog included your 1,397 Facebook followers connected via Publicize. If you’d like, you can set up Publicize on your new WordPress.org site, too: http://jetpack.me/support/publicize/

That way, your new posts will go out to all of your followers the same as before. :) Let me know if you have any questions about that!

Thank you for all your help. My followers (email and facebook) total were shown as one number on the old blog. Is there a way to “add them together” on the new blog?

Right now, there isn’t a way to include your social media followers in your follower count on a self-hosted WordPress.org blog. It will only show your number of WordPress.com and email followers. However, we are keeping this in mind for future updates to Jetpack! :)
