Finding A-files/IP address
-
We are currently switching our host service for all of our accounts (email, website, etc.). Before making the final switch to Network Solutions, we were told by Network Solutions customer service that we should obtain the A-files for our website to make sure that we have access to it/do not lose or wipe it after switching accounts. The person who told us this said that they are similar to the IP address for our website. With that information, we have not been able to find either type of account information which means that we can’t switch our accounts out of fear of losing any work or information. Does anyone know how to find either one of these codes and where to go from here? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Hi there,
Are you speaking of the site, https://pdkarchitects.wordpress.com/?
There’s no such thing as A-files. IP addresses are added to a domain using A-records, but you don’t own a custom domain, and A-records also have nothing to do with transferring a site’s content. What exactly did Network Solutions tell you?
If you want to transfer the content on https://pdkarchitects.wordpress.com/ to a self-hosted site with Network Solutions, you need to export your content from the WordPress.com site, and import it to the self-hosted site. We have a complete guide on how to do that here:
