First post on front page

    I’m having an issue where the top post on my front page is my first post. The posts are supposed to go in reverse chronological order (newest to oldest) which they do BELOW my first post, but my first post is still the top one on the page after I add new posts.

    Also, is there a way to make it so that there is only a short preview of the post on the front page, instead of showing the whole thing?

    Sounds like your top post is a set as a sticky post. If so, then the solution is to uncheck “Stick this post to the front page” at the Publish module > Visibility > Public.
