Hello trust you are well and in good spirits I would like to know if I registered and my annual fee is $48 annually but the first year is free do I have to pay immediately after registration and setting up account. I’m stuck at secure checkout please assist

Hi there, all WPcom upgrade plans are paid for the full year (or two) at checkout and are automatically renewed with the payment method on record unless you opt out. Monthly payments are available by editing your shopping cart at checkout (see these screenshots https://d.pr/i/Wk2vJW and https://d.pr/i/XoEGBL) Please also note any change in features on the right side of the checkout screen.
A custom domain is free for the first year of registration, but you need to purchase the annual plan to qualify.*
In case you decide that the upgrade plan you purchased doesn’t meet your needs, you have 14 days from the date of purchase to request a refund on everything but custom domain registration, which needs to be cancelled within 96 hours of registration to be eligible.
