First website, bought domain on Godaddy

    Hello,

    This is my first time creating my website. I bought a domain on GoDaddy and I’m interested in writing/creating content for it on WordPress. I’m confused as to what plan I should get, and how I can link it to my site.

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there!

    If you would like to use it here on WordPress.com all you need to do is “map” your existing domain to your site. You will need an upgraded WordPress.com plan on your site in order to map a domain. To add domain mapping , follow the next steps:

    1- Go to the Domains page, select your site, and choose the Add Domain option.
    2- Click the Upgrade button next to “Already own a domain?”
    3-Enter the domain you’d like to map and click the blue Add button
    4-Complete the checkout process for the domain mapping and WordPress.com plan (if you didn’t have a plan already).

    HI there,

    To map your domain here, please go to My Site ->Plans first and purchase a plan there. If you start at the domain step the Premium Plan will be added by default, so you need to add the plan first if you want to use a different plan than Premium.

    Any paid plan will allow you to add a domain.
