Fixing the site footer

  I updated my website to the latest WordPress version and got the name of my website, accompanied with a / sign on my site footer and I can’t get rid of those things at all. What do I do?

  Hi there,

  If you manually updated your WordPress version, your site is not hosted on WordPress.com, but using the open source WordPress.org software – WordPress.com sites cannot update the software manually and we don’t use version numbers here. We cannot help with this in the WordPress.com forums.

  Note they’ll likely need your site’s address in order to accurately advise you on this.
