Flash Uploader in 2.6 – No errors – nothing at all

    I have just upgraded to v 2.6 and the Flash Uploader for images is not working. By not working I mean nothing happens at all when I click on the “Choose files to upload” button. No messages, no pop-ups, no window.

    I did some searching and all the trouble shooting references I could find referred to 2.5 (saying 2.6 would fix most problems) and talked about cases where you got errors during or after uploads. I can’t even get that far.

    I don’t know if it worked in 2.5 as I skipped that version. I have deleted the files from the server and re-uploaded them to make sure they’re clean as detailed in most of the comments I’ve found. I get the same behaviour on both Firefox 3 and Internet Explorer 7 so this suggests either a general client PC problem or a server configuration problem.

    The client PC is running Windows Vists Home Premium. Both IE7 and FF3 can view the flash test page (http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/welcome/) sucessfully and the version reporting page (http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=tn_15507) reports “Your Player Version WIN 10.0.0.525”.

    I checked the FF3 error console and there are a bunch of CSS warnings reported but no errors and nothing that seemed relevant.

    I’d be gratful for and suggestions on what I can check to track down the problem.
