Flickr photo integrated in a WP.com post
-
I’m following all the instructions found here (http://en.support.wordpress.com/images/flickr-photos/) but I’m not getting the same result. Why? And what can I do to finally see the photo and not the http address?
You can see the result I get at http://photogpcp.com/2014/12/30/testing-flickr-image-embedding/
The photo is mine and public. I did copy the link (not the iFrame nor the BBCode) into the “Text” editor (not the visual one).
Can you help? Thank you in advance.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I’m not having any trouble embeding my own flickr images when I test. However, like you, I cannot embed yours.
Can you test embedding this image (which is the embed in the WordPress.com Flickr support document: http://en.support.wordpress.com/images/flickr-photos/)

I tried and it worked.
It seems I am able to embed pictures from others (I tried a few pics around Flickr) and I don’t have a problem with those.
Could it be a problem with my WP/Flickr connection?
-
I’m not sure that would have anything to do with it.
Could you have any privacy settings set incorrectly on Flickr?
-
I checked again to make sure and it doesn’t seem to be the case.
Plus, there is another WP/Flickr user that managed to embed the exact same picture in a WP post. (see tread here.
I tried embedding a photo from another Flickr account (they are free to create, so I gave it a shot) and it works.
I also tried embedding other picture from the same (original) account (Flickr/photos/gpcp) without success. It really seems to be this particular account that doesn’t work (or play nice) with WP.
I’m clueless.

I cannot see an embed at the links that the other user posted. Perhaps she has removed it?
I cannot embed any of the images that I have tested from your flickr account. Which is why I am curious about settings. If it were just something to do with the interaction between your flickr account and your WordPress.com account, I should be able to embed the images with my account. Since I am not, and because you are able to embed from other Flickr accounts, I tend to still think there is something up with this particular flickr account.

I think you are right and pointed me in the right direction. It was not the photo’s settings that were faulty. It seems it was the account’s privacy settings that prevented the photos from showing. Here’s a screenshot of the parameter I changed (the one highlighted in yellow). This box was checked. I unchecked it and now my pictures show up.
Theses settings are under the “Privacy and Permissions” tab in the “Settings” section of Flickr.Thank you so much for helping me with this. I wish you a very happy new year!
