follow button not working all the time
-
Several people visiting my Blog have indicated the “Follow” button is not working for them. I don’t think they have to have an account to follow my Blog – right?? But do they need to subscribe? Please advise how I can check it out. Many thanks.

Hi there!
It looks like you’re currently using the Follow Button Widget. The Follow Button widget adds a button that WordPress.com users can click to follow your site.
You may be interested in using the Follow Blog Widget instead. The Follow Blog widget adds a box where viewers can subscribe to your site via email.
We try to make it as easy as possible for your readers to subscribe to your blog with or without a WordPress.com account. There are some follow options built into your site already. Anyone who is logged into a WordPress.com account will see this Follow button at the top of your site:
Anyone who is not logged into a WordPress.com account will see this at the bottom of their browser window when visiting your site:

The email options will not require your followers to create a WordPress.com account. However, they will need to confirm that their subscription by clicking a link in a confirmation email from WordPress.com.
Let me know if I can help with anything else!

Thanks – – I did change my follow option to the email option. Will the few folks who have already signed up need to sign up again??

If they used the old button, but don’t have a WordPress.com account, then yes they’ll need to sign up again.
Let me know if I can answer any other questions!
