  how do I add a follower on email via my dashboard

  Hi there, you can’t add them directly from the dashboard. You can invite them to follow your site as explained in this guide: https://en.support.wordpress.com/adding-users/

  Alternatively, you can log out of your account and then enter their email address in the Follow widget in your site’s sidebar, but they will need to confirm their subscription in the email sent to them by WordPressdotcom.
