Follower count for Blog Page
-
Earlier today I edited my follower widget and the number that was displayed was 1,121 then after a few minutes 10 or so the number changed to 16. Now I initially thought that the follower count was the number of people who follow my blog. Then when the 1,121 was displayed I thought that 17 was in relation to those who followed my wordpress account. However I believe that the old number was in relation to the number of twitter followers I had and my twitter has been deleted for months now. Please could you clarify this problem for me?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The subscriber total includes your full audience: email subscribers, WordPress.com followers, and followers of any Publicize-connected Facebook and Twitter profiles.
In this case, you deleted your Twitter Publicize connection, which is why that number was removed from the total.

Thank you for this information. I am struggling to add my Instagram to my social media widget. For some reason the pop up link to authorise access doesn’t come up for me. Should I start a new query for this or can I ask about it here?

Hi there,
I suggest clearing your browser’s cache (https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache) and if that doesn’t help, try a different browser.
