followers I do not recognize …

Last month I was sent an email with a new follower, twice. I do not recognize either of them. When I click on the ‘view profile’, there is no information that helps me identify them.
Is my site open to the public, or only people I invite or send the link to my blog and they click on the ‘follow’ icon? If I do not know them, should I just ‘remove’ them?

Your site is set to be hidden from search engines, but it’s still accessible to anyone on the internet who has the link. So these people most likely found your site via a link that you or someone else shared somewhere on social media or on another website.
Its your choice whether or not you want to remove them. If you don’t want random people following and reading your site you can also set it to private and make it invitation only. That way you’ll have complete control over who can see it.
