  When I load a page on my site , it flashes the default font before switching to the one I chose. This makes moving between pages feel alkward. I don’t feel comfortable launching my site like this. Is this possible to fix?

  That’s something you have to live with if you don’t settle for the default font. There will always be a brief period whilst the custom font loads. See this recent reply from staff about the same subject: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/font-changes-as-page-loads/
