  How do I add information (such as ‘copyright’, ‘charity registration number’) to the main Footer area?

  Hi there,

  If your theme allows a dedicated footer area, you can add a text widget in the footer and write the information you want in there.

  There is little that can be done to the footer credit area if you are not on the business or e-commerce plan and you can read about this here: https://wordpress.com/support/footer-credits/
