Formatting issue

  How come I can’t start a new paragraph two lines below the previous one anymore? I’ll space down two lines and it will look correct, but when I publish/update it, the text is grouped all together when it’s live.

  Hi there,

  What is the URL of the site you’re working on?

  You should not ever need to press Enter twice to create a new paragraph. Pressing it just once should create a new paragraph automatically.

  If you’re using Shift-Enter to create paragraphs, that’s the problem – Shift-Enter adds a line break, not a paragraph break, and as HTML doesn’t like empty space, duplicate line breaks will get stripped out by the editor when updating a post.

  I’m just pressing enter. In the draft it shows the line break, but when it’s live, it has been removed: https://wordpress.com/view/xwordsofpoetry.wordpress.com

  Hi there,

  On which post is this happening? I opened a few of your posts and I could see the line breaks.
