formatting question

Hi, I just bought a new theme or my blog, Dispatches from the field. When I click the link to it from Twitter or Facebook, I get a start page with the word ‘ABOUT’ below the title of the blog. Beneath is my latest post, and beneath that ‘related posts’ one can click to. But if you click on the word ‘About’ at the top, you get a cleaner, different view: the new post, with older posts appearing below in, scrollable, no extra clicking involved. How can I get rid of the first (default?) view and have viewers link directly to the 2nd view, without the word ‘About’ appearing, and with all the posts scrollable below the newest post? I like it better that way. Unfortunately, I’m not savvy about HTML and the like. Thanks for your help. Ken Miller
