Can you add date fields to forms?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
The WordPress.com Contact Form doesn’t currently support date fields. Here are the types of fields it supports:
- text – Displays a regular single line text box
- textarea – Displays a multi-line text box
- radio – Displays radio options
- checkbox – Displays a single checkbox
- select – Displays a drop down with multiple options
- email – Displays a single line text box
- name – Displays a single line text box
- url – Displays a single line text box
If you have a limited number of dates to choose from, the radio or select fields might be a good choice. You could also add a text field for someone to enter any date.
I’ll also mention this to our team to see if a date field could be added to the contact form in the future — it’s a great suggestion! :)

Hi Rachel
Thanks for the response and the suggestions. I will be collecting dates for proposed holidays etc and so really need to have a date fields/calender etc. Presumably I could add Visual Form builder, is that a good plugin and does it cost?
Thanks

Hi Ian,
It isn’t possible to install plugins here at WordPress.com, for security reasons. That’s a feature of self-hosted sites using the WordPress.org software: WordPress.com and WordPress.org
You can add calendars to your site, for example by embedding a Google Calendar. But it isn’t currently possible to add a date field to a contact form here at WordPress.com.
If you absolutely need that feature, you might want to consider moving the site to a self-hosted WordPress.org site. We have a guide for moving your site if you need: Moving a Blog
Please let me know if you have any questions about that.

Thanks Rachel I think that means I’m in the wrong place and need to do what I’m doing on the .Org software.
I signed up for the 14 day free trial here, how do I cancel my subscription please?

Hi Ian,
I just cancelled that trial upgrade for you, so you’re all set on this end. You can find more information and help about getting set up with a self-hosted site here:
I’d also recommend trying out the Jetpack plugin on your self-hosted site — it brings some of the most popular WordPress.com features to self-hosted sites. Just let me know if I can do anything more to help. :)
