Forms not working and unable to edit site

  • Unknown's avatar

My wordpress was updated to version 6.0.1 yesterday, and I noticed my forms where no longer working (Gravity forms and contact form 7). So I logged in and updated all my plugins, which triggered an email saying I had a technical issue with contact form 7. The email is below. I am now unable to edit my site (any updates causes an error message that the site can’t be reached, which is the same error message I get when trying to submit a form), and now my customers have no way of getting in touch with me. Can anyone help solve this? I’ve got in touch with my hosting site, who weren’t any help, and I’m really stuck with how to proceed. Email below.

    Howdy!

Since WordPress 5.2 there is a built-in feature that detects when a plugin or theme causes a fatal error on your site, and notifies you with this automated email.

In this case, WordPress caught an error with one of your plugins, Contact Form 7.

First, visit your website (https://kselephantsanctuary.com/) and check for any visible issues. Next, visit the page where the error was caught (https://kselephantsanctuary.com/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php) and check for any visible issues.

Please contact your host for assistance with investigating this issue further.

When seeking help with this issue, you may be asked for some of the following information:
    WordPress version 6.0.1
Active theme: Betheme Child (version 1.6.2)
Current plugin: Contact Form 7 (version 5.6.1)
    PHP version 7.4.29

  • Hi there,

The best place to get help with that is to post in the official WordPress.org support forums:

    https://wordpress.org/support/forums/

The forum you have posted is for the WordPress.com hosting platform, which is different than the WordPress software that your site is using. You can learn more about these differences here:
