fraudulent account?

I received an email to my personal account today from a free site set up using my wife’s name. The site and email from blog comment are both dated March 21, 2010, yet I received the email today.

Neither myself nor my wife believe the account is ours, as we do not recall creating the account in 2010 and this is the first email we have got from it. I was able to log into the account using my personal email.

Is WP able to discern when exactly the website and blog accounts were actually created and by whom?

Is it possible to set up an account in someone else’s name without them getting a confirmation email? I also understand that it is possible to alter the creation date of a page or post so it does not reflect the actual date of creation?

    Thank you.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

There is an empty site https://masayotoyama.wordpress.com/ created 19th March 2010 linked to this account you are logged in to and posting from so you should be able to access the dashboard and go to Settings and delete it if you wish.

Thank you, yes I did log in and checked the dashboard and data before I posted here.

My question is whether someone could have fraudulently done that?

Neither of us know anything about this account yet I could log on. Plus, the ‘views’ to the site were the same month – March – separated by 8 years.

Is it possible to create a page and change the creation date to a previous date?

Anyone can stumble on a site, even if it looks abandoned, and post a comment if comments have been left enabled. I presume you’ve still got the same email address you had in 2010 and the comment has appeared there and is awaiting moderation. Are you sure the comment doesn’t say 2018 rather than 2010? It will be the site that was created in 2010.

Ok, so the jetpack app is reading the site goes back to March 19, 2010. I don’t suppose you can spoof jetpack visitor data?
