  I found my WordPress account, but when I opened it I was told I had no sites yet and would only allow me to choose the free site until I have decided how it should work. Then I plan to upgrade. How??

  I’m afraid I don’t understand what you’re asking. What exactly are you trying to do?

  You have one site in your account, https://maudepagan.wordpress.com/, created yesterday, about an hour before you posted this forum thread. If you want to upgrade that site, you can do so from My Site ->Plans.
