    WordPress advertised free plans if you keep the WordPress domain. I am currently fine with WordPress in the domain. Why is my account not able to take any new posts until I purchase a plan?

    Hi there!

    I think there’s some misunderstanding here. You can either keep your blog for free, using the free subdomain (like .wordpress.com), or you can upgrade your plan to gain more features. A custom domain is an additional subscription, free for the first year with any paid plan.

    Can you elaborate a bit on that? There’s no need to upgrade your plan to be able to publish your posts unless you used a block that’s only available in paid plans.
