free domain wordpress.com is taken even though i myself delete it

  i remove my old blog with free domain montrhano.wordpress.com,
  and set up a new blog with same free domain.
  however wordpress keeps saying my domain is taken

  This is why there are three separate warnings about this. Permanent means permanent.

  thanks for the reply.
  if the domain is deleted permanent, then should i be able to set up a new blog with that domain?
  or there is a buffer time before i can acquire the same domain again
