  hi there, I just want the free hosted wordpress site. Where I get a URL like this: http://www.boomermaxwell.wordpress.com. Where can I do that?

  You can create your own free site at https://en.support.wordpress.com/empty-site/

  Hi –

  Since the .wordpress.com extension is no longer standard you’ll need to register a free option, like boomermaxwell.home.blog first. Then you can change that to .wordpress.com from your settings.

  Select My Sites – Manage – Domains – Change Address
