Free Plans Redirecting

We have domain and hosting attached to Sitegrounds. An old website attached to our URL was built, but then deleted because we were having problems with attaching Divi. WordPress apparently has free website plans, but when we try to start from scratch, step 3 always redirects us to paid plans. Is this because there is still a free website attached to wordpress in the background, or is the system just being stubborn and we need to get to the free plans through other means?

Okay, the blog that has been attached automatically to the query is not ours – instead it is one that my client has said she wants to read. Not sure why this query system has attached this blog to the query?

Perhaps clear cache/cookies or try a different browser? Then if you leave step one blank and type a word or phrase in the box at step two you should be offered a free address right below the two paid-for ones. You may have to continue to experiment with the address (remove loads of numbers?) until you’re happy with the free address offered as once you click “select” that address is created for you.
