  I want to test out WordPress first. Where is the free account settings?

  Hi there,

  All WordPress.com accounts are free, as upgrades are bought for specific sites, not for accounts.

  When you create a new site at https://wordpress.com/start/site/, select a free address instead of a custom domain on the domains step, and select the free plan on the Plans step, to create a free site.
