Free trail to transfer old website to wordpress

  We have a business website, the person running it has retired. We don’t have any clue about htmls, nor do we have a desire to learn it. It has been suggested that we transfer the site to wordpress to make it easy for us to control the site ourselves. Is there a free trial I can use in order to link our website to wordpress, attempt to set it up and use it, before deciding whether to commit to a year business subscription?
